About

I have come to printmaking on a winding route. From illustration to sculpture at art school to performance art, to splatting some ink on a table top, whooshing it around over the surface and then pressing paper on it. The pleasure and anticipation of peeling the piece of paper off carefully to see the result set me off on printing, I enjoy the combination of control and chance.

Not having a press in my studio I have used and developed various methods to print by hand, one off monoprints or small series. And attended classes and workshops at Morley College and other venues to learn traditional print methods such as etching, drypoint, collograph which require a press.
